Delicious Recipe: Mutton Tikka Boti

Mutton or Beef Tikka Boti is a very delicious grilled meat and it is the traditional cuisine of Pakistan and India.  This easy recipe shown below will guide you through the entire process of making Mutton Tikka very simple. It is very easy for everyone to make Tikka Boti without Seekh (iron rods) and Angethi (coal stove) at your home. Just read the complete recipe of Mutton Tikka Boti. Mutton Tikka Boti is a delicious mutton recipe that is marinated, cooked then roasted on a pan. This can be relished with any kind of roti or rice.


  • Boneless mutton – 1/2 kilo cut into cubes
  • Yogurt – 4 tablespoon
  • Onion paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Raw papaya paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mutton masala powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili paste – 2 chilies
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon

or you can use a ready-made Tikka Masal Powder instead of all these spices.

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce  – 2 tablespoon
  • Mustard Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • Salt as per taste


  1. Mix all the dry spices with yogurt, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of mustard oil, 1 tablespoon of lemon, and salt to prepare marination. Now, marinate the chicken pieces with it and set them aside for 3 hours.
  2. Add the marinated mutton to a pan and roast for 10 minutes.
  3. Add a cup of water and cook till the mutton gets 90% cooked.
  4. Then dry the masalas (spices) completely.
  5. In another pan add butter and roast the pieces of mutton (Additional step).
  6. Give them a dash of charcoal smoke to give a tandoor effect.
  7. Mutton tikka boti is ready.

Serve with Naan, Roti, Chapati (Bread), or Rice what u prefer.
